Type 2 Diabetes
Type 2 Diabetes: Group Exercise Program
Our group exercise class has been designed to help people living with diabetes get involved in gym-based exercise with safe, effective exercise, fully supervised by our Exercise Physiologist.
Eligible clients can be referred to the program by their GP, which will include an initial assessment, followed by 8 group sessions – all Medicare funded and bulk billed (no cost to you!).
If clients have enjoyed the 8-week group program they can continue paying a private fee, which can be subsidized through private health insurance.
HOW TO JOIN
Please speak with your GP to determine if you are eligible, then simply provide us with a referral for the group program. We require the correct referral form – Referral form for Group Allied Health Services under Medicare for patients with Type 2 diabetes.
For more information about class times and locations, please give us a call.
