Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD)

Accredited Practicing Dietitians (APDs) are the only allied health professionals recognised by Medicare to provide medical nutrition therapy. Dietitians are experts in food and nutrition. They play a role in translating scientific knowledge into personalised dietary advice and practical dietary strategies for individuals. Dietitians contribute to the promotion of health, disease prevention, or treatment of illnesses via optimising nutritional intake.
